A world without BigTech

PublicSpaces is a unique coalition of public organisations in public media, cultural heritage, festivals, museums and education. They are working together to reclaim the internet as a force for the common good and advocating a new internet that strengthens the public domain. With a select few large organizations that control much of the internet and make their money using our data, it has become increasingly urgent to develop alternatives. PublicSpaces asked me to create a video to explain to people what the problem is with Big-Tech and why social organizations have a role in helping to solve this. The video serves as an introduction for a workshop aimed at initiating a discussion. Snippets from the video were displayed at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
